About Ranakpur

Why visit.

The Chaumukha temple at Ranakpur was built in the 15th century and is dedicated to Adinath, the first Jain Tirthankara. Its marble halls hold more than 1,400 carved pillars, and no two are said to be alike.

Ranakpur sits in a quiet valley between Udaipur and Jodhpur, and is an easy stop on that drive, often combined with Kumbhalgarh Fort.
