Tour overview

8 days, planned around you.

A compact journey that links India's most famous monument with Rajasthan's most romantic city. After a day in Delhi, drive to Agra to see the Taj Mahal in the soft evening light and the great red sandstone walls of Agra Fort. On the way to Jaipur, visit the Baby Taj and Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned Mughal capital of Emperor Akbar. Spend two nights in Jaipur, with a full day for Amber Fort, the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal and the colourful bazaars of the Pink City.

Then travel south via the Sufi shrine of Ajmer and the holy lake of Pushkar to Udaipur, the City of Lakes. Explore its City Palace and gardens, and take a sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola past the island palace of Jag Mandir. The tour ends in Udaipur, so you can fly onwards without retracing your steps to Delhi. With private transfers, local guides and handpicked hotels, it is ideal for couples and first-time visitors with a week to spare.
